RELIGIOUS VISA
REQUIREMENTS FOR RELIGIOUS VISA APPLICATION
1.Two sets of completed visa application forms.
2.Two recent (5x7cm) coloured photos with white background professionally taken and printed.
3.Passport with minimum validity of six (6) months and with sufficient visa pages.
(For multiple visa, the passport validity should cover the validity of the visa)
4.A letter addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar proposing the duration of the meditation visa the applicant needs.
5.Sponsor letter of the Meditation Center/Monastery/Venerable Sayadaw in Myanmar.
6.A letter from the employer (if currently employed) written in the company’s letterhead specifying the job title. If self employed, write a letter with occupation details. If retired, write a letter describing your job prior to retirement.
7.Visa fees per applicant are as follows:

8.Religious visa is valid for THREE/SIX/TWEVE MOTHS from the date of issue. (It will require minimum of one month for approval.)
9.Payment by money order or bank draft made payable to the Embassy of Myanmar.
10.Enclose a registered prepaid return envelope of your choice EXCEPT PUROLATOR.
(If you choose Fedex or UPS, obtain a computer generated waybill that you can do online or you can obtain Expresspost from the Post Office). Make sure it is filled up legibly.
(DO NOT SEND AN UNREGISTERED ENVELOP OR ORDINARY STAMPED ENVELOPE)
11.Copy of your flight itinerary.
NOTE :
1.Make sure you comply with all the above requirements, failure to do so will delay issuance of visa.
If documents are in order, processing time is five (5) business days more or less depending on the season.
2.The Embassy does not give updates on the status of your application unless we need further information or requirements from you.
