U Hau Khan Sum, Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada signed the Condolence Book opened at the Embassy of Vietnam in Ottawa in remembrance of H.E. Mr. Tran Duc Luong, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီးချုပ်နှင့် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီး ဦးသန်းဆွေ သည် ကုလသမဂ္ဂလူဦးရေရန်ပုံငွေအဖွဲ့ (United Nations Population Fund-UNFPA) ၏ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ ဆိုင်ရာဌာနေကိုယ်စားလှယ်ဖြစ်သူ Mr. Jaime Nadal Roig အား နေပြည်တော်ရှိ နိုင်ငံခြားရေး ဝန်ကြီးဌာန၌ ၂၇-၅-၂၀၂၅ ရက်၊ ၁၀:၃၀ နာရီတွင် လက်ခံတွေ့ဆုံခဲ့သည်။
ထိုသို့ တွေ့ဆုံစဉ် UNFPA ၏ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိသော လုပ်ငန်းများနှင့် ငလျင်ဒဏ်သင့်ဒေသများမှ အမျိုးသမီးများနှင့် မိန်းကလေးငယ်များအတွက် မျိုးဆက်ပွား ကျန်းမာရေးဆိုင်ရာ ဆေးဘက်ပစ္စည်းများ ထောက်ပံ့ပေးမည့်အခြေအနေတို့နှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်ခဲ့ကြသည်။

U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs received Mr. Jaime Nadal Roig, Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to Myanmar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw at 10:30 hrs on 27 May 2025.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters pertaining to the activities of UNFPA in Myanmar and provision of the reproductive health kits to women and girls from the earthquake affected areas.
Also present at the meeting were the senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada attends Vesak Day Celebration organised by the Buddhist Congress of Canada

At the invitation of the President of the Buddhist Congress of Canada, Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada U Hau Khan Sum attended Vesak Day Celebration organized by the Buddhist Congress of Canada at 4:00 p.m. on May 25, 2025 at Hilda Jayewardenaramaya Temple in Ottawa.
The ceremony began with an observance of the Five Noble Precepts followed by a sermon from Venerable Bhante Jinananda Thero, President of the Buddhist Congress of Canada. Afterward, the Ambassador of Myanmar and the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka delivered messages of reverence in honour of the Vesak Day in which the Ambassador of Myanmar highlighted the significant of Vesak Day which commemorates three most sacred events in the life of Lord Buddha – his birth, his enlightenment and his passing into the Parinirvanna. He also shared that Vesak is celebrated across the country on the Full Moon day of Kason which falls in the second month of Myanmar calendar while stressing the importance of practicing the teachings of Buddha including loving-kindness, tolerance and the pursuit of wisdom in our daily lives to build a more peaceful and compassionate world.
