အာဆီယံရေးရာကော်မတီ၏ ပထမအကြိမ် ညှိနှိုင်းအစည်းအဝေးကို ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ အောက်တိုဘာလ ၁၃ ရက်၊ ၁၄၀၀ နာရီတွင် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ စတုရင်္ဂဗလခန်းမ၌ ကော်မတီဥက္ကဋ္ဌ၊ နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီး၊ ဦးတင်မောင်ဆွေက ဦးဆောင်၍ ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည်။ ညှိနှိုင်းအစည်းအဝေးသို့ ကော်မတီဒုတိယဥက္ကဋ္ဌ၊ နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီး ဦးနိုင်မင်းကျော်နှင့် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတရုံးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ကာကွယ်ရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ပြည်ထဲရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ပြန်ကြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနနှင့် လူမှုဝန်ထမ်း၊ ကယ်ဆယ်ရေးနှင့် ပြန်လည်နေရာချထားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနတို့မှ အဖွဲ့ဝင်များနှင့် ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များ ပါဝင်တက်ရောက် ခဲ့သည်။
အစည်းအဝေးတွင် ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီးက အဖွင့်အမှာစကားပြောကြားရာတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ အနေဖြင့် အာဆီယံနှင့် ပုံမှန်ထိတွေ့ဆက်ဆံနေသည့် လမ်းကြောင်းအပြင် အာဆီယံနှင့် ဆက်သွယ် ဆောင်ရွက်မည့် ကော်မတီတစ်ရပ်ကို ဖွဲ့စည်း၍ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ ပြုလုပ်သွားရန် ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ အာဆီယံအနေဖြင့် ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ်၊ နောက်ပိုင်းတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအပေါ် ခွဲခြားဆက်ဆံမှု များရှိခဲ့သော်လည်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသည် တာဝန်သိ အာဆီယံအဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံ တစ်နိုင်ငံအနေနှင့် အာဆီယံ ထုတ်ပြန်ချက် (၅) ရပ်ကို ယခင်နိုင်ငံတော်စီမံအုပ်ချုပ်ရေးကောင်စီလက်ထက်တွင် ချမှတ်ခဲ့သည့် ရှေ့လုပ်ငန်းစဉ် (၅) ရပ်နှင့်အညီ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ အချုပ်အခြာအာဏာနှင့် အမျိုးသားအကျိုးစီးပွားကို ထိခိုက်မှုမရှိစေဘဲ အဖြစ်နိုင်ဆုံး အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ပါကြောင်း၊ အာဆီယံနှင့် ဆက်ဆံရာတွင် တစ်နိုင်ငံချင်းအလိုက် ဦးစားပေးအဆင့်လိုက် ထိတွေ့ဆက်ဆံလျက်ရှိပါကြောင်း ထည့်သွင်းပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ ဆက်လက်၍ ကော်မတီဒုတိယဥက္ကဋ္ဌ၊ နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီးက အာဆီယံထုတ်ပြန်ချက် (၅) ရပ်နှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ နိုင်ငံတော်အစိုးရ၏ ရှေ့လုပ်ငန်း စဉ်များနှင့်အညီ တစ်ချက်ချင်းစီအလိုက် အကောင်အထည်ဖော် ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့မှုများကို ရှင်းလင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။
ယင်းနောက် အစည်းအဝေးသို့ တက်ရောက်လာသည့် ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံနှင့် အာဆီယံအဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံများအကြား လက်ရှိနှစ်နိုင်ငံဆက်ဆံရေးကို အခြေခံကာ အာဆီယံအတွင်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ မူလအခန်းကဏ္ဍနှင့် အခွင့်အရေးကို ပြန်လည်ထိန်းသိမ်းဆောင်ရွက်ရာတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံက ဦးဆောင်သော မြန်မာ့ကိုယ်ပိုင်နည်းလမ်းဖြင့် ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်မည့် နည်းလမ်းများကို အကြံပြုဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြသည်။

First Coordination Meeting of the ASEAN Affairs Committee held

The first coordination meeting of the ASEAN Affairs Committee, presided over by U Tin Maung Swe, Chairman of the Committee and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, was held on 13 October 2026 at 14:00 hours at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman of the Committee and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Naing Min Kyaw, along with members and representatives from the Ministry of the Office of the President, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Information and Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
In his opening remarks, the Union Minister stated that in addition to the existing channels of engagement with ASEAN, Myanmar will cooperate with ASEAN through the Committee. He highlighted that despite facing discriminatory treatment towards Myanmar since 2021, Myanmar, as a responsible ASEAN Member State, has implemented the ASEAN Five-Point Statement to the fullest extent possible in line with the Five-Point Roadmap laid down by the then State Administration Council, without compromising its sovereignty and national interests. He added that engagement with ASEAN is being pursued bilaterally with individual member states. Subsequently Vice Chairman of the Committee and the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs underscored the progress achieved under the ASEAN Five-Point Statement in line with the Government’s Roadmap.
During the Meeting, members of the Committee discussed and exchanged views on Myanmar-owned and Myanmar-led process in restoring Myanmar’s original role and rights within ASEAN building on the existing bilateral relations between Myanmar and ASEAN Member States.
