ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံရုံးယာယီတာဝန်ခံ/ သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးဇော်ထွန်းဦးသည် အာဆီယံကော်မတီ (အော်တာဝါ) (ASEAN Committee in Ottawa-ACO) ၏ အလှည့်ကျ ဥက္ကဋ္ဌဖြစ်သူ ဘရူနိုင်းသံအမတ်ကြီး H.E ANG Lay Ling ဦးဆောင်၍ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ ၂၅ ရက် (ဗုဒ္ဓဟူးနေ့)၊ (၁၆၃၀)နာရီတွင် အော်တာဝါမြို့ရှိ Fairmont Chateau Laurier ဟိုတယ် ၌ ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်သည့် အာဆီယံကော်မတီ(အော်တာဝါ) သံရုံးအကြီးအကဲများ၏ (၂၉၅)ကြိမ် မြောက်အစည်းအဝေးနှင့် အလုပ်သဘောညစာစားပွဲအခမ်းအနားသို့ ပါဝင် တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါ သည်။

အစည်းအဝေးတွင် အာဆီယံသံရုံးအကြီးအကဲများက အာဆီယံ-ကနေဒါ မဟာဗျူဟာ မြောက် မိတ်ဖက်ဆက်ဆံရေး၏ ဖြစ်ပေါ်တိုးတက်မှု အခြေအနေများ၊ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်တွင် ဖိလစ်ပိုင် နိုင်ငံက အာဆီယံအလှည့်ကျဥက္ကဋ္ဌ အဖြစ် တာဝန်ယူစဉ်ကာလအတွင်း ရှေ့ဆက်ဆောင်ရွက် သွားရန် ပြင်ဆင်ထားရှိမှုအခြေအနေများ၊ အာဆီယံကော်မတီ(အော်တာဝါ)၏ ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီးစီး ခဲ့သည့် လုပ်ငန်းတာဝန်များနှင့် ရှေ့ဆက် ဆောင်ရွက်မည့်အစီအစဉ်များအပေါ် အမြင်ချင်း ဖလှယ် ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။

အစည်းအဝေးပြီးနောက် အာဆီယံသံရုံးအကြီးအကဲ များ၏ အလုပ်သဘောညစာစားပွဲကို ဆက်လက်ကျင်းပခဲ့ရာ ကနေဒါအပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ ကုန်သွယ်ရေး ဝန်ကြီး H.E Maninder Sidhu က အဓိကဧည့်သည်တော် အဖြစ် ပါဝင်တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ ညစာစားပွဲတွင် ဝန်ကြီး Sidhu နှင့် အာဆီယံသံရုံး အကြီးအကဲများက အာဆီယံ-ကနေဒါ လွတ်လပ်သော ကုန်သွယ်ရေးသဘောတူညီချက်ရရှိရေး ဆောင်ရွက်နေမှု အခြေအနေများ၊ အာဆီယံ-ကနေဒါ မိတ်ဖက်ဆက်ဆံရေးနှင့် ကုန်သွယ်ရေး ကြံခိုင်မှုစွမ်းအား တိုးမြှင့်နိုင်မည့် အခွင့်အလမ်းများ၊ ကနေဒါနှင့် အာဆီယံအဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံ များအကြား ဆက်ဆံရေးဆိုင်ရာ ဖြစ်ပေါ် တိုးတက်မှုအခြေအနေများကို အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ် ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။ မြန်မာ သံရုံးယာယီ တာဝန်ခံ/ သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးဇော်ထွန်းဦးသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအပေါ် ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံ၏ သဘောထားအမြင်နှင့် မူဝါဒများကို အပြုသဘောနှင့် ထိရောက်မှုရှိသော လမ်းကြောင်းဖြင့် ပြန်လည်သုံးသပ်နိုင်ပါက ကုန်သွယ်ရေး ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ ပိုမိုတိုးတက်အောင်မြင် နိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပြီး လက်ရှိချမှတ်ထားသည့် ပိတ်ဆို့အရေးယူမှုများကို ဖြေလျှော့ပေးပါက စီးပွားရေး ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများကို အပြုသဘောသက်ရောက်စေနိုင်မည် ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ ဘက်မှလည်း အာဆီယံ မူဘောင်အတွင်း ဆက်လက်တက်ကြွစွာ ပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ် ကြောင်းနှင့် အာဆီယံ–ကနေဒါ လွတ်လပ်သောကုန်သွယ်ရေးသဘောတူညီချက် (FTA) ဆိုင်ရာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု အပေါ် ကတိကဝတ်ထားရှိမှုကို အလေးအနက် တန်ဖိုးထားရှိကြောင်း ထပ်လောင်းအတည်ပြုခဲ့သည်ဟု သိရှိရပါသည်။

Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada Attends ASEAN Committee Meeting and Working Dinner

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Ambassador of the Embassy of Myanmar to Canada, Zaw Tun Oo, attended the 295th Meeting of the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) and the Working Dinner, which was hosted by the current Chair of the ACO, H.E. Ms. ANG Lay Ling, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam. The meeting was held on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, at 1630 hrs at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa.

During the meeting, the ASEAN Heads of Mission exchanged views on the progress of the ASEAN–Canada Strategic Partnership, preparations for the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026, as well as the completed and upcoming activities of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa.

Following the meeting, a Working Dinner of the ASEAN Heads of Mission was held, with H.E. Mr. Maninder Sidhu, Minister of International Trade of Canada, attending as the Chief Guest. During the dinner, Minister Sidhu and the ASEAN Heads of Mission exchanged views on the progress of the ASEAN–Canada Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, opportunities to further strengthen ASEAN–Canada partnership and trade resilience, and recent developments in relations between Canada and ASEAN Member States. Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Ambassador of Myanmar, Zaw Tun Oo, stated that a constructive and effective review of Canada’s perspectives and policies toward Myanmar would help further advance trade cooperation. He also emphasized that easing the existing sanctions would have a positive impact on economic engagement. He reaffirmed that Myanmar will continue to actively participate within the ASEAN framework and highly values its commitment to cooperation under the ASEAN–Canada Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
