ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံရုံးယာယီတာဝန်ခံ/ သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးဇော်ထွန်းဦးသည် ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံ၊ ဗြိတိသျှ ကိုလံဘီယာ ပြည်နယ်ဆိုင်ရာ အထက်လွှတ်တော်အမတ် H.E. Yuen Pau Woo အား ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ ၂၆ ရက် (ကြာသပတေးနေ့)၊ (၁၀:၀၀)နာရီတွင် အော်တာဝါမြို့ရှိ Parliament Hill လွှတ်တော်အဆောက်အအုံအတွင်း ၎င်း၏ရုံးခန်းဧည့်ခန်းမ၌ သွားရောက်တွေ့ဆုံ ဂါရဝပြုနှုတ်ဆက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

တွေ့ဆုံစဉ်အတွင်း အထက်လွှတ်တော်အမတ် Woo က မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအရေးကိစ္စနှင့် စပ်လျဉ်း၍ ဒေသတွင်း အဖွဲ့အစည်းဖြစ်သည့် အာဆီယံအဖွဲ့၏ အဓိကအခန်းကဏ္ဍ (ASEAN Centrality) ကို အားပေးထောက်ခံကြောင်း၊ ဒေသတွင်းနိုင်ငံများသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ သမိုင်း နောက်ခံ၊ လူမျိုးစုဆိုင်ရာ အခြေအနေများနှင့် လုံခြုံရေးဆိုင်ရာ စိန်ခေါ်မှုများကို ပိုမိုနားလည်နိုင် မည်ဟု သုံးသပ်ပါကြောင်းဖြင့် ဆွေးနွေးပြောကြားခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။ ဆက်လက်၍ မြန်မာသံရုံး ယာယီတာဝန်ခံ/ သံအမတ်ကြီးက အထက်လွှတ်တော်အမတ် Woo အား အလုပ် တာဝန်များပြားသည့်ကြားမှ အချိန်ပေးတွေ့ဆုံသည့်အတွက် ကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိပါကြောင်း၊ ပြင်ပ နိုင်ငံများအနေဖြင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ ပြည်တွင်းရေးအခြေအနေများနှင့် သမိုင်းကြောင်း သဘော သဘာဝများကို အပြည့်အဝနားလည်နိုင်ရန် ခက်ခဲနိုင်ကြောင်း၊ နိုင်ငံအတွင်းရှိ သက်ဆိုင်သူများ၏ ပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်မှုနှင့် အမျိုးသားအခြေပြု ဖြေရှင်းချက်များကသာ ရေရှည်တည်တံ့နိုင်မည် ဖြစ် ကြောင်း တို့အပြင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ နောက်ဆုံးဖြစ်ပေါ်တိုးတက်မှုအခြေအနေများ၊ လွတ်လပ်၍ တရားမျှတသော ရွေးကောက်ပွဲအား အောင်မြင်စွာ ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ပြီးစီးမှုအခြေအနေများ၊ ဒီမို ကရေစီ အစိုးရသစ်တစ်ရပ်ဖွဲ့စည်းရေး နှင့် လွှတ်တော်သစ်စတင်နိုင်ရေး ပြင်ဆင်နေမှုများနှင့် စပ်လျဉ်း၍ ရှင်းလင်းပြောကြားခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။

Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada pays a courtesy call on Senator Yuen Pau Woo of British Columbia

Chargé d’Affaires a.i./Ambassador of Myanmar to Canada, H.E. U Zaw Tun Oo, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Senator Yuen Pau Woo of British Columbia at his office on Parliament Hill in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

During the meeting, Senator Woo expressed his support for ASEAN Centrality in relation to Myanmar affairs, noting that ASEAN, as a regional organization, plays a key role. He observed that countries in the region may have a better understanding of Myanmar’s historical background, ethnic complexities, and security challenges.

Chargé d’Affaires/ Ambassador of Myanmar conveyed his appreciation to Senator Woo for taking the time to meet despite his busy schedule. He emphasized that it may be difficult for external countries to fully comprehend Myanmar’s internal situation and historical context and emphasized that only inclusive participation by relevant stakeholders within the country and nationally driven solutions can ensure long-term sustainability. He also briefed Senator Woo on the latest developments in Myanmar, including the successful holding of a free and fair general election, as well as ongoing preparations for the formation of a new democratic government and the convening of a new parliament.
