ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မြန်မာသံရုံး ယာယီတာဝန်ခံ/သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးဇော်ထွန်းဦးသည် အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်အစိုးရ၏ ဖိတ်ကြားချက်အရ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇူလိုင်လ (၈) ရက်နေ့တွင် ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံ၊ အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်၊ ကယ်လ်ဂရီမြို့၌ ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်သည့် Calgary Stampede သံတမန်ရေးရာအစီအစဉ်၏ တစ်စိတ်တစ်ပိုင်းအဖြစ် အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်ဝန်ကြီးချုပ် The Honourable Danielle Smith နှင့် အာဆီယံကော်မတီ(အော်တာဝါ)မှ သံရုံးအကြီးအကဲများ၊ ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များနှင့် တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးပွဲသို့ ပါဝင်တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
အဆိုပါတွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးပွဲတွင် အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်၏ စီးပွားရေးဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှု၊ စွမ်းအင်ကဏ္ဍ၊ သဘာဝအရင်းအမြစ်စီမံခန့်ခွဲမှု၊ စိုက်ပျိုးရေးနှင့် အစားအစာထုတ်လုပ်မှု၊ နည်းပညာ နှင့် ဆန်းသစ်တီထွင်မှုကဏ္ဍများအပြင် နိုင်ငံတကာမိတ်ဖက်များနှင့် ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်ရေးဆိုင်ရာ အခွင့်အလမ်းများကို အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ် ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးမှုအတွင်း မြန်မာသံရုံးယာယီတာဝန်ခံ/သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးဇော်ထွန်းဦးက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ နှင့် အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်တို့အကြား စွမ်းအင်၊ ရေနံနှင့် သဘာဝဓာတ်ငွေ့၊ စိုက်ပျိုးရေးနှင့် အစားအစာထုတ်လုပ်မှု၊ သဘာဝအရင်းအမြစ်ဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေး၊ နည်းပညာနှင့် လူ့စွမ်းအား အရင်းအမြစ် ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေးကဏ္ဍများတွင် အတွေ့အကြုံနှင့် နည်းပညာဖလှယ်မှုများမှတစ်ဆင့် အပြန်အလှန်အကျိုးရှိသော ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ မြှင့်တင်နိုင်မည့် အလားအလာများကို အလေးထား ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ပါသည်။ ထို့ပြင် သံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးဇော်ထွန်းဦးက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသည် သဘာဝအရင်းအမြစ်များနှင့် လူ့စွမ်းအားအရင်းအမြစ်များ ပေါကြွယ်ဝသည့်အပြင် အာဆီယံဒေသ အတွင်း မဟာဗျူဟာမြောက်တည်ရှိသည့် နိုင်ငံတစ်နိုင်ငံဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ နိုင်ငံတကာနှင့် ဒေသတွင်း မိတ်ဖက်နိုင်ငံများနှင့် ဆက်ဆံရေး၊ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ ပိုမိုခိုင်မာစေရေးအတွက် ကြိုးပမ်း ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း ရှင်းလင်းပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။
အဆိုပါတွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးပွဲသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံနှင့် အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်အကြား စီးပွားရေး နှင့် ကဏ္ဍစုံပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ တိုးမြှင့်နိုင်ရေးအတွက် အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်ရန်နှင့် အနာဂတ် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု အခွင့်အလမ်းများရှာဖွေရန် အရေးပါသော အခွင့်အရေးတစ်ရပ် ဖြစ်ခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။ ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံ၊ အယ်လ်ဘာတာပြည်နယ်သည် ရေနံနှင့် သဘာဝဓာတ်ငွေ့ ထုတ်လုပ်မှု နှင့် ပြည်ပတင်ပို့မှုတွင် ကနေဒါ၏ အဓိကကျသော ပြည်နယ်တစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး၊ အာလူးထွက်ကုန်များ ထုတ်လုပ်ခြင်း၊ ပြည်တွင်းရောင်းချခြင်းနှင့် ပြည်ပဈေးကွက်သို့ တင်ပို့မှုတွင်လည်း ထင်ရှားသော စိုက်ပျိုးရေးပြည်နယ်တစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

Chargé d’Affaires/Ambassador of the Embassy of Myanmar in Canada Attends Meeting between the Premier of Alberta and Heads of ASEAN Missions in Ottawa

Chargé d’Affaires/Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Canada, U Zaw Tun Oo, attended a meeting between The Honourable Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, and Heads of Mission and representatives of ASEAN Committee in Ottawa on 8 July 2026 in Calgary, Alberta, as part of the Calgary Stampede Diplomatic Programme hosted by the Government of Alberta.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on Alberta’s economic development, energy sector, natural resource management, agriculture and food production, technology and innovation, as well as opportunities for strengthening international partnerships and cooperation.
Chargé d’Affaires/Ambassador U Zaw Tun Oo highlighted the potential for enhanced cooperation between Myanmar and Alberta in the areas of energy, oil and natural gas, agriculture, food production, natural resource development, technology transfer and human resource development. He emphasized that Myanmar possesses abundant natural and human resources and holds a strategic position within the ASEAN region, while continuing efforts to strengthen engagement and cooperation with international and regional partners.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for exchanging views and exploring future opportunities to further enhance economic cooperation and partnership between Myanmar and Alberta. The Province of Alberta, Canada, is one of the country’s key provinces in terms of oil and natural gas production and exports. It is also a prominent agricultural province, particularly in the production, domestic distribution, and export of potato products to international markets.
